Machine Weight Equipment EP Fitness has a full line of strength equipment to help build muscle, strengthen your body and improve your body tone. Machine weights isolate specific muscle groups in your body while controlling the range of motion. Depending on the specific center and the specific machine, EP Fitness often offers two or three stations for every muscle group. This helps you keep your workout going and minimizes waiting for a free machine. EP Fitness also carries HammerStrength plateload machines. HammerStrength machines have been used in the weightrooms of professional sports teams because of their unique blend of machine safety with a free weight feel. HammerStrength machines are also independently hinged, to work both your right and left sides equally. Machine weights help you build strength and increase muscle definition. Machine weights also increase your body's metabolism and endurance levels. Like any weight bearing exercise, weight training maintains or increases your body's bone density. Free Weight Equipment Free weights can offer greater variety and can often provide faster results than machine weights. Because free weights do not have a controlled range of motion, free weights are not recommended for beginners. With free weights, your body utilizes additional stabilizer muscles to help balance the weight as you go through the range of motion. EP Fitness recommends free weights for intermediate or experienced users only. Beginners should start in the machine weights area before venturing into free weights on their own.
